Officially Licensed VT-6 Shooters Squadron Sticker — Where Every Naval Aviator Gets Their Wings Started
Before the fleet, before the carrier, before the call sign — there was primary.
Training Squadron Six, the Shooters, has been forging naval aviators at NAS Whiting Field since 1960. Originally established as the Multi-Engine Training Group in 1956, VT-6 is one of five primary training squadrons responsible for the initial flight training of Student Naval Aviators flying the T-6B Texan II. Every future fighter pilot, helicopter pilot, and maritime patrol aviator passes through a squadron like this one — learning the fundamentals that keep them alive at the boat. The Shooters’ motto says it all: Train Warriors and Develop Leaders. If you’ve been through Whiting Field, this sticker is a piece of where it all began.
Perfect For: VT-6 alumni and instructor pilots, student naval aviators, primary flight training graduates, and anyone who remembers their first solo in the Texan.
Every aviator’s journey starts somewhere — for the best, it starts with the Shooters.
