HMLA-367 Scarface Phu Bai Patches — Vietnam Heritage, Scarface Legacy
Phu Bai. Where the Scarfaces earned their name in blood.
HMLA-367 “Scarface” is a Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron currently flying the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom out of MCAS Camp Pendleton, California. This Phu Bai patch is a direct tribute to the squadron’s Vietnam War combat operations, when HML-367 flew out of Phu Bai Combat Base in Thừa Thiên Province, South Vietnam. During Vietnam, the Scarfaces provided close air support, armed escort, and medevac operations for Marines fighting in some of the war’s most brutal terrain — the jungles and rice paddies of I Corps Tactical Zone. Phu Bai served as a major Marine Corps helicopter base, and the Scarfaces’ gunships were a constant presence overhead for ground Marines who depended on their firepower. This patch connects HMLA-367’s modern identity to the Vietnam-era heritage that forged the Scarface reputation — a name that still means lethal precision in the rotary-wing community.
Perfect For: HMLA-367 Scarface Marines past and present, Vietnam War helicopter veterans, Phu Bai veterans, MCAS Camp Pendleton squadrons, AH-1 Cobra and Viper community, and anyone who honors the Scarface legacy.
