**Officially Licensed US Navy VA-144 Roadrunners Sticker — Attack Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VA-144 Roadrunners — Pacific Fleet Skyhawk drivers who were in the thick of it from the Gulf of Tonkin incident all the way through Linebacker.
VA-144, the “Roadrunners,” was a Pacific Fleet attack squadron that flew A-4 Skyhawks from carriers in the Western Pacific throughout the Vietnam War. On August 5, 1964, VA-144 Skyhawks launched alongside VA-145 Skyraiders in Operation Pierce Arrow — the first retaliatory strikes against North Vietnam following the Gulf of Tonkin incident. The Roadrunners conducted multiple combat deployments to Southeast Asia from carriers including USS Constellation, USS Ranger, and USS Kitty Hawk, flying close air support, armed reconnaissance, and strike missions against heavily defended targets in North Vietnam. The squadron earned a reputation for aggressive, precision attacks and maintained high sortie rates throughout their combat tours. VA-144 was disestablished after completing its final Vietnam-era deployment.
