Description
Marine Air Control Squadron MACS-12 — Embroidered Patch
Radar Eyes in the Sky
MACS-12 provides the air surveillance and intercept control that gives Marine commanders the picture of the battlespace above. This officially licensed patch represents the Marines who operate the radars, control the intercepts, and manage the airspace that keeps Marine aviation organized and lethal.
Marine Air Control Squadron 12 operates within the Marine Air Command and Control System, providing air surveillance, identification, intercept control, and airspace management. MACS-12 Marines operate the AN/TPS-59 and AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) systems that detect, identify, and track aircraft and cruise missiles, feeding critical data into the Tactical Air Operations Center. The squadron’s radar operators and air control officers are the first line of defense in the air, providing early warning and directing fighter intercepts that protect the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
Perfect For:
MACS-12 veterans and active duty Marines, Marine air control and radar operators, MACG personnel, and aviation command and control collectors.
