Combat Logistics Regiments provide the supply, maintenance, transportation, engineering, and medical support that keeps the entire MEF in the fight. This officially licensed patch represents every Marine who has served in the logistics combat element.
Combat Logistics Regiments are the primary logistics formations within Marine Logistics Groups, providing direct support to Marine Divisions and general support to the Marine Expeditionary Force. CLR Marines handle everything from supply distribution and intermediate maintenance to motor transport, engineer support, and health services. Whether it’s providing beans, bullets, and fuel to a rifle company in Helmand Province or building expeditionary infrastructure in the Pacific, CLR Marines ensure the warfighter has what they need to fight and win. The CLR structure traces its lineage through combat service support groups to the logistics formations that sustained Marines from Guadalcanal to Iwo Jima to Iraq and Afghanistan.
