Description

**Officially Licensed USMC VMM-774 Wild Goose Sticker — Marine Reserve Tiltrotor Squadron Vinyl Sticker**

VMM-774 Wild Goose — the last CH-46E Sea Knight squadron in the entire Marine Corps. When every other unit had moved on, the Wild Goose was still flying Phrogs. That’s reserve tenacity at its finest.

Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 774 (VMM-774), the “Wild Goose,” is a United States Marine Corps Reserve tiltrotor squadron based at MCAS New River, North Carolina, under Marine Aircraft Group 49, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing. Originally activated on 5 September 1958 at NAS New York as Marine Transport Helicopter Squadron 774 (HMR-774), the squadron operated SH-34 Sea Bat helicopters before deactivation in 1962. Reactivated at NAS Norfolk on 1 July 1969, HMM-774 transitioned to CH-46 Sea Knights in 1970 and was mobilized for Desert Shield/Desert Storm in January 1991. The squadron deployed to Al Asad, Iraq in 2004-2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and in 2010 embarked aboard USS Iwo Jima for humanitarian missions across South America, rushing to Haiti in the aftermath of Hurricane Tomas. HMM-774 earned the distinction of being the last dedicated CH-46E squadron in the Marine Corps before transitioning to MV-22B Ospreys and redesignating as VMM-774 in January 2016.
