The Tucson Air Branch — covering 365 miles of border in some of the harshest terrain in the Southwest.
CBP Air and Marine Operations’ Tucson Air Branch is responsible for aerial surveillance and interdiction across more than 365 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona. Operating UH-60 Black Hawks and other aircraft over some of the most rugged, remote, and extreme desert terrain in the country, Tucson crews support Border Patrol ground agents in detecting and interdicting drug smuggling, illegal crossings, and border security threats. This subdued desert-tone patch matches the operational environment.
