Description
US Navy Helicopter Squadron HSL-34 Sticker — Green Checkers on Patrol
HSL-34 launched from tin cans and cruisers alike, always ready to track what lurked below the surface.
Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 34 (HSL-34) was a U.S. Navy LAMPS squadron operating the SH-60B Seahawk helicopter. The squadron’s primary mission centered on anti-submarine warfare, deploying detachments aboard guided-missile cruisers, destroyers, and frigates throughout the Atlantic Fleet and beyond. HSL-34 crews operated in some of the most challenging conditions in naval aviation — launching and recovering from small flight decks in heavy seas, often at night. Their dedication to the ASW mission helped maintain the undersea advantage that defined American naval superiority.
Perfect For: HSL-34 veterans, Atlantic Fleet helicopter crews, SH-60 maintainers, ASW warriors, and Navy aviation patch collectors.
Every launch from a pitching deck was an act of courage.
