Official HMLA-773 Det A Nomads Round Sticker — Reserve Attack Helos from the Big Easy
The Nomads of Det A may drill on weekends, but when the rotors spin up, they’re all business.
HMLA-773 Detachment A, the Nomads, operates out of NAS Joint Reserve Base New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, as part of the Marine Corps Reserve’s rotary-wing attack community. As a detachment of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 773, the Nomads fly both AH-1 Cobras and UH-1 Hueys, providing close air support, armed escort, and utility transport capabilities. Reserve Marine aviators in HMLA-773 maintain the same tactical proficiency as their active-duty counterparts, ready to mobilize and deploy when the nation calls. Their New Orleans home base adds a distinct cultural flavor to an already unique squadron identity.
Perfect For: HMLA-773 Det A Nomads veterans, Reserve Marine aviators, New Orleans-based Marines, attack helicopter crews, and USMC Reserve collectors.
Nomads by name, lethal by trade.
