Description
USAF 17th Attack Squadron Sticker — The Eye That Never Blinks
From photo-recon over the Pacific to armed overwatch over everywhere else.
The 17th Attack Squadron is assigned to the 432nd Wing at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, and operates the MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft. Originally constituted in 1942 as the 17th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron, the unit flew unarmed F-5 Lightning recon aircraft over some of the most dangerous territory in the Pacific Theater — Guadalcanal, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Leyte, and the Philippines. After Cold War service in tactical reconnaissance with RF-101C Voodoos and RF-4C Phantom IIs in Europe, the squadron was reactivated in 2002 to fly the MQ-1 Predator, later adding the MQ-9 Reaper. Today, the 17th ATKS conducts intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and precision strike operations worldwide — proving that the mission of finding and fixing the enemy has been in the squadron’s DNA since day one.
Perfect For: 17th Attack Squadron airmen and veterans, 432nd Wing personnel, MQ-9 Reaper community, Creech AFB squadrons, RPA pilots and sensor operators, and aviation history collectors.
