Official VMFA-311 Tomcats Shoulder Patch — Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 311 F-35C Lightning II Embroidered Shoulder Patch
Tomcats on your shoulder — VMFA-311.
Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 311 (VMFA-311) “Tomcats” shoulder patch is the standard squadron identifier worn by VMFA-311 personnel on their flight suits and uniforms. Based at MCAS Miramar, California, as part of Marine Aircraft Group 11 (MAG-11) under 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, the Tomcats operate the F-35C Lightning II, the carrier-variant of the fifth-generation stealth fighter.
VMFA-311’s lineage is one of the richest in Marine Corps aviation. Originally designated as VMA-311 “Hells Belles” and later the “Tomcats,” the squadron has flown some of the most iconic aircraft in Marine aviation history: the F4U Corsair, F9F Panther, F9F Cougar, and now the F-35C Lightning II. The transition to the F-35C represents a historic moment — the Tomcats are among the first Marine squadrons to operate the carrier-variant Lightning II, capable of operating from Navy supercarriers alongside Navy F-35C squadrons. This shoulder patch identifies the Tomcats as they write the next chapter of their storied history.
This shoulder patch is the standard VMFA-311 identifier.
Perfect For: VMFA-311 Tomcats personnel, F-35C Lightning II enthusiasts, MCAS Miramar aviation community, and Marine fighter squadron shoulder patch collectors.
