Description
Officially Licensed US Navy USS George H.W. Bush CVN-77 Patch — Freedom at Work
The last of the Nimitz class and the first named for a combat naval aviator who became Commander-in-Chief — CVN-77 is a ship with a legacy before she ever left the yard.
USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) is the tenth and final Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, commissioned in 2009. Named after the 41st President of the United States — a World War II naval aviator who flew TBM Avengers in the Pacific — CVN-77 carries the motto “Freedom at Work.” She incorporates transitional design features that bridge the gap between the Nimitz class and the next-generation Gerald R. Ford class. Operating as the centerpiece of her carrier strike group, CVN-77 has deployed to the Persian Gulf, Mediterranean, and Atlantic, projecting American power and serving as a floating airfield for over 5,000 sailors and Marines.
Perfect For: CVN-77 crew members and veterans, carrier aviation enthusiasts, Bush 41 admirers, surface Navy sailors, and naval history collectors.
