Officially Licensed US Navy VT-28 Rangers Squadron Patches — Training Squadron 28 Embroidered Patch
Rangers lead — VT-28 builds the foundation of naval aviation.
Training Squadron 28 (VT-28), the “Rangers,” is a United States Navy flight training squadron based at NAS Corpus Christi, Texas. Operating the T-6B Texan II under the Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA), VT-28 provides primary and intermediate flight training to student naval aviators who are beginning their journey toward earning their Wings of Gold. The Rangers are one of several training squadrons within Training Air Wing Four responsible for producing the Navy’s next generation of aviators.
VT-28’s motto of being “The Foundation Builders” speaks to the squadron’s role in establishing the fundamental flying skills that every naval aviator will build upon throughout their career. Under the guidance of the Rangers’ experienced instructor pilots, students master the basics of military flying — takeoffs, landings, navigation, instrument procedures, formation flying, and emergency procedures. The Montana-themed heritage adds a distinctive Western identity to the squadron. This officially licensed patch represents the proud training tradition of the Rangers.
Perfect For: VT-28 Rangers instructor pilots and alumni, student naval aviators who trained with VT-28, Training Air Wing Four personnel, CNATRA community supporters, T-6B Texan II enthusiasts, NAS Corpus Christi veterans, and military training command patch collectors.
