Description

USAF 17th Attack Squadron Throwback Sticker — Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide

From unarmed photo-recon over Guadalcanal to armed Reapers over everything else.

The 17th Attack Squadron is assigned to the 432nd Wing at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, and operates the MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft. Originally constituted in 1942 as the 17th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron, the unit flew unarmed F-5 Lightning reconnaissance aircraft over some of the most dangerous territory in the Pacific Theater — including Guadalcanal, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and the Philippines. After decades of service in tactical reconnaissance roles flying the RF-101C Voodoo and RF-4C Phantom II in Europe during the Cold War, the squadron was reactivated in 2002 at Indian Springs (now Creech AFB) to fly the MQ-1 Predator, later adding the MQ-9 Reaper. This throwback sticker honors the squadron’s WWII heritage while connecting it to its modern mission of intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and precision strike operations worldwide.

Perfect For: 17th Attack Squadron personnel and veterans, 432nd Wing airmen, MQ-9 Reaper community, Creech AFB squadrons, RPA pilots and sensor operators, and anyone who knows the Reaper’s eye never blinks.

17th ATKS — the original eye in the sky, now with Hellfires.
