VMGR-252 Otis and the Knights Shoulder Patches — Team Otis Meets the Blue Knights

Because when the oldest squadron in the Corps teams up, everybody gets fuel.

VMGR-252, known as “Otis,” holds the distinction of being the oldest continually active squadron in the entire Marine Corps — formed on June 1, 1928, in San Diego. Now flying KC-130J Super Hercules out of MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, Team Otis has been keeping Marines fueled, supplied, and moving since before most squadrons existed. From WWII campaigns at Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa, through Desert Storm where they pumped over 10 million pounds of fuel across 937 combat sorties, to the backbone of logistics in OEF and OIF — Otis has been everywhere it matters. This crossover patch with VMM-365 Blue Knights represents the best of what Marine aviation does: tankers and tiltrotors working together to make the mission happen.

Perfect For: VMGR-252 Otis Marines past and present, VMM-365 Blue Knights crew, MCAS Cherry Point personnel, KC-130 Hercules enthusiasts, and anyone who knows the mission doesn’t fly without gas.

Oldest in the Corps. Still delivering.
