Description
USS Bonhomme Richard LHD-6 — Embroidered Patch
I Have Not Yet Begun to Fight
USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) carried the name of John Paul Jones’ legendary warship and the fighting spirit of the American Revolution into the 21st century. This patch represents the sailors and Marines who served aboard this powerful amphib before her loss to fire.
USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) was a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship commissioned in 1998. The ship deployed Marine Expeditionary Units across the Pacific and to the Persian Gulf, participating in combat operations and humanitarian missions. Tragically, Bonhomme Richard was destroyed by a four-day fire while in port at Naval Base San Diego in July 2020, eventually being scrapped. This patch preserves the memory of a great warship.
Perfect For:
USS Bonhomme Richard veterans, Wasp-class LHD sailors, MEU Marines, and Navy warship memorial collectors.
