The Wolverines of MALS-29 provide the intermediate maintenance and logistics support that keeps MAG-29’s heavy-lift and tiltrotor squadrons mission-capable at MCAS New River. This officially licensed patch represents the Marines who sustain one of the most demanding aviation maintenance workloads in the Marine Corps.

Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 29, the Wolverines, provides intermediate-level maintenance, supply support, and aviation logistics for Marine Aircraft Group 29 at MCAS New River, North Carolina. The squadron’s Marines maintain the CH-53E Super Stallions and other aircraft that provide the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s heavy-lift capability, performing complex component repairs, powerplant maintenance, avionics troubleshooting, and supply chain management that keeps these demanding aircraft in the fight.
