Description
Officially Licensed USMC 2nd Assault Amphibian Bn Patch — From Ship to Shore Under Fire
The Marines of 2nd AABn drive the vehicles that take the assault from the ship straight to the beach — under fire and through the surf.
2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion (2nd AABn) operates the Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV-7A1), providing ship-to-shore movement and ground combat support for the 2nd Marine Division. Based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, 2nd AABn is responsible for landing Marines and their equipment on hostile beaches during amphibious operations — the most fundamental mission of the Marine Corps. The AAV crews navigate open ocean swells, surf zones, and beach obstacles while delivering infantry squads directly into the fight. 2nd AABn’s mission is inherently dangerous, demanding, and absolutely central to the Marine Corps’ identity as an amphibious force.
Perfect For: 2nd AABn veterans, AAV crewmen, amphibious assault Marines, 2nd Marine Division personnel, and Marine amphibious warfare collectors.
