The 45th Medical Company — arrived in 1967 with new equipment, new pilots, and the same impossible mission.
The 45th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) deployed to Vietnam in 1967, bringing new equipment and fresh pilots to the Dust Off mission. In July of that year, the 45th began conducting helicopter medevac operations, joining the network of air ambulance units that formed the lifeline for wounded soldiers across the theater. Flying UH-1 Hueys into combat, the 45th’s crews earned their place in the Dust Off legacy.
