Description
Officially Licensed USMC MACS-4 Vicesquad Coin — Air Defense from Okinawa
The Vice Squad of MACS-4 kept the skies over Okinawa under control — and this coin carries that watch.
Marine Air Control Squadron 4 (MACS-4), known as the Vice Squad, operated from Okinawa, Japan, under Marine Air Control Group 18 (MACG-18) as part of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. MACS-4 provided tactical air command and control, including ground-controlled intercept, air surveillance, and airspace management for Marine and joint forces in the Western Pacific. The Vice Squad’s mission was critical to maintaining air superiority and deconflicting the busy airspace over Okinawa and the surrounding Pacific theater. This challenge coin commemorates MACS-4’s service in one of the world’s most strategically important locations.
Perfect For: MACS-4 Vice Squad veterans, Marine air control specialists, Okinawa-stationed Marines, MACG-18 personnel, and Marine air defense challenge coin collectors.
