Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 45 (HSL-45), known as the Wolfpack, was a U.S. Navy LAMPS Mk III squadron that operated the SH-60B Seahawk helicopter. Deploying detachments aboard cruisers, destroyers, and frigates throughout the Pacific Fleet, the Wolfpack provided anti-submarine warfare, over-the-horizon targeting, search and rescue, and logistics support. HSL-45’s nickname reflected their tactical philosophy — coordinated, relentless pursuit of subsurface threats across vast ocean expanses.
