Marine Aircraft Group 13 (MAG-13) is a United States Marine Corps aviation command that provides the organizational structure for multiple Marine aviation squadrons under a single group headquarters. MAGs are the building blocks of Marine Corps aviation — each group commands a mix of fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and tiltrotor squadrons that together provide the full range of aviation capabilities the MAGTF commander needs: offensive air support, anti-air warfare, assault support, aerial reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and command and control. MAG-13 and its squadrons train together, deploy together, and fight together as the aviation combat element of a Marine Expeditionary Force or Marine Expeditionary Brigade. The group headquarters coordinates the employment of all assigned squadrons, manages maintenance and logistics across the group, and ensures that every squadron is trained and ready to deploy on short notice. MAGs are where squadron-level excellence meets group-level coordination — the command that turns individual squadron capabilities into the integrated air power that the Marine rifleman depends on.
