Description
Official New Mexico/Colorado Army Guard G Co 1-168th Dustoff Patches — Lobo Dustoff, When Minutes Matter
Two states. One mission. Get the wounded out — no matter what.
G Company, 1st Battalion, 168th General Support Aviation Battalion represents the combined MEDEVAC (Dustoff) capability of the New Mexico and Colorado Army National Guard. Flying UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters configured for aeromedical evacuation, these Guard soldiers deploy in support of Operations Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield, providing combat MEDEVAC across the CENTCOM area of operations. The 1-168th GSAB traces its roots to 1959 and has been composed of units from multiple western states, deploying repeatedly to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. “Dustoff” — the legendary callsign of Army MEDEVAC — carries the weight of every helicopter crew that has ever flown into fire to bring the wounded home. This patch commemorates the OIR/OSS deployment, when Guard soldiers from the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado took their Dustoff mission to the desert and proved that citizen-soldiers fly just as hard as the active component.
Perfect For: G Company 1-168th GSAB soldiers, New Mexico and Colorado Army National Guard aviators, Dustoff MEDEVAC community, UH-60 Black Hawk crews, Army aviation medics, Guard veterans who deployed to CENTCOM, and anyone who has heard the Dustoff callsign and knows what it means.
1-168th Dustoff — when you call, we fly.
