Every aircraft has a final flight. When the last CH-46 Sea Knight made its farewell pass, it closed a chapter that had been written over fifty-one years of faithful service. The CH-46 Sea Knight’s retirement was a gradual process that played out across the Marine Corps over nearly a decade, as squadron after squadron transitioned to the MV-22 Osprey.
