Official VFA-22 Fighting Redcocks 7th Fleet Cruise Patch — You Can’t Beat a Redcock on Deployment

Because when the Redcocks cross the Pacific, the 7th Fleet AOR gets a lot more interesting.

VFA-22, the Fighting Redcocks, has been a cornerstone of Naval strike aviation since 1948. Flying the F/A-18F Super Hornet out of NAS Lemoore, California, with callsign “Beef” and tail code NA, the Redcocks have a combat resume that spans Korea, Vietnam, Operations Desert Fox, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Inherent Resolve. The squadron led CVW-11’s only air strike during Operation Desert Fox, dropped 33,500 lbs of precision guided munitions during OIR while recording 780 consecutive sorties without a single maintenance cancellation, and was the first west coast squadron to employ the AGM-88 HARM and first to deploy carrying the AIM-120 AMRAAM. This 7th Fleet cruise patch commemorates VFA-22’s Western Pacific deployment — projecting strike power across the Indo-Pacific from the flight deck.

Perfect For: VFA-22 Fighting Redcocks aircrew and maintainers, 7th Fleet WESTPAC cruise veterans, NAS Lemoore Super Hornet community, and anyone who knows YCBAR.

You can’t beat a Redcock. Especially on cruise.
