Description
Officially Licensed USMC VMA-332 Polka Dots Patch — Marine Attack Squadron 332 A-4 Skyhawk Embroidered Patch
Polka Dots — attack aviation with style.
Marine Attack Squadron 332 (VMA-332) “Polka Dots” was a United States Marine Corps attack squadron that operated the A-4 Skyhawk, providing close air support and offensive air operations for Marine ground forces. The “Polka Dots” nickname gave VMA-332 one of the most distinctive and memorable identities in Marine Corps aviation.
VMA-332 flew the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, a lightweight, single-seat attack aircraft that was beloved by pilots for its agility, simplicity, and ability to deliver a devastating weapons load on target. The Skyhawk was the backbone of Marine attack aviation for decades, providing the close air support that Marine ground commanders depended on to win battles. VMA-332’s Polka Dots pilots trained to deliver bombs, rockets, and cannon fire in support of Marine infantry operations, flying low and fast over the battlefield to put ordnance precisely where it was needed. Though the squadron has been deactivated, the Polka Dots’ legacy lives on in the heritage of Marine attack aviation.
This patch preserves the memory of the Polka Dots.
Perfect For: VMA-332 Polka Dots veterans, A-4 Skyhawk enthusiasts, Marine attack aviation historians, and USMC fixed-wing squadron collectors.
