Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 37 (HSL-37), the Easy Riders, was a U.S. Navy LAMPS Mk III squadron that operated the SH-60B Seahawk from Hawaii. This embroidered patch captures the Easy Riders’ distinctive insignia. HSL-37 deployed detachments aboard Pacific Fleet surface combatants throughout the Indo-Pacific, conducting anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and search and rescue missions. The Easy Riders’ relaxed namesake belied the intense professionalism required to operate independently from the decks of destroyers and frigates thousands of miles from home station.
