Description
Officially Licensed US Navy VAW-120 Greyhawks Squadron Patch — Training the Eyes of the Fleet
Every Hawkeye crew that deploys with the carrier air wing was trained by the Greyhawks — the E-2 schoolhouse.
Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 120 (VAW-120), the Greyhawks, is the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Replacement Squadron for the E-2 Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft. The Greyhawks are responsible for training all newly designated E-2 pilots, naval flight officers, and mission systems operators before they report to operational fleet squadrons. The E-2 Hawkeye is the eyes of the carrier battle group, providing airborne command and control, surveillance, and battle management that enables the entire air wing and surface force to fight effectively. Without VAW-120’s rigorous training pipeline, the fleet cannot generate the Hawkeye crews it depends on.
Perfect For: VAW-120 Greyhawks instructors and graduates, E-2 Hawkeye aircrew, carrier airborne early warning community members, FRS training professionals, and naval aviation collectors.
The Greyhawks train the eyes of every carrier air wing.
