Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 84 (HSC-84), the Red Wolves, carries forward the proud heritage of HAL-4 into the modern Navy Reserve helicopter community. Operating the SH-60 Seahawk, HSC-84 provides combat search and rescue, naval special warfare support, and combat logistics capabilities as a Reserve squadron. The Red Wolves’ transition from the UH-1 Huey to the Seahawk expanded their mission capabilities while preserving the aggressive, special operations-focused identity that defined their predecessor. HSC-84 stands ready to mobilize and support the fleet whenever the Reserve is called.
