By 2006, Marine helicopter squadrons in Iraq were flying daily combat missions including troop insertion, casualty evacuation, resupply, and command and control in Al Anbar Province. The Greyhawks’ OIF 2006 deployment patch commemorates the squadron’s service during a critical phase of the war.
