Description
US Army 571st Dust Off Patch
The unit that didn’t paint the standard red cross — because they wanted to stand out in their own way.
When the 571st Medical Detachment arrived in Vietnam, the other Dust Off units had already established the standard practice of painting red crosses on their aircraft. The 571st carved their own identity among the air ambulance community while still answering every medevac call that came across the radio. This patch carries the unit’s distinctive identity from the Vietnam War era.
Perfect For:
571st Medical Detachment veterans, Army Dust Off crews, Vietnam helicopter medics, and military medical aviation patch collectors.
571st. Their own way. Same mission.
