The Marine Corps Reserve represents the citizen warriors who maintain their combat readiness while serving their communities in civilian life. This officially licensed patch honors every reserve Marine who answers the call when the nation needs them.
The United States Marine Corps Reserve provides trained units and qualified individuals to augment the active Marine Corps during wartime, national emergencies, and contingency operations. Reserve Marines serve one weekend a month and two weeks a year while maintaining civilian careers, ready to mobilize and deploy alongside their active duty counterparts. The Reserve has been activated for every major conflict since its establishment.
