The Thunder Eagles — HMM-263 brought the thunder in the CH-46.

HMM-263 “Thunder Eagles” was a Marine medium helicopter squadron operating the CH-46E Sea Knight out of MCAS New River, North Carolina, under MAG-26, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Thunder Eagles deployed aboard amphibious ships and to combat zones, providing assault support, troop transport, and medevac for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. HMM-263 later transitioned to the MV-22B Osprey and redesignated as VMM-263.
